Tempered glass in the FRAL-38 system. A fill thickness of 4–22 mm accommodates single tempered glass, and this is the most affordable way to make glazing impact-resistant. Tempering makes glass several times stronger than ordinary glass, and if damaged it shatters into blunt granules instead of sharp shards. For balconies, loggias and terraces, where the glass is within arm's reach, this is the main argument.
Profile: frame installation depth 38 mm, sash — 46 mm. Aluminum alloy 6063 T6, RAL-scale powder coating. Straight geometric shapes, low 10 mm threshold.
Hardware: Europaz V.01 “Type 1”. Outward and inward opening, turn and tilt-and-turn window types.
Glazing unit: fill 4–22 mm, two EPDM sealing contours. Glass is tinted, clear or decorative — any of them can be tempered.
Scope of application: unheated premises, balconies, loggias, terraces. Thermal and sound insulation are basic level — this is cold glazing, and you shouldn't expect the warmth of a living room from it.
How to tell tempered glass apart: there is a manufacturer's mark etched in the corner of the pane. It doesn't wear off and is the only reliable confirmation of tempering.
