Support for student initiatives

Блог

From the idea to the realization of this project, it took just over 4 months. And now, here you can learn foreign languages, get acquainted with photography skills, join a startup workshop, or simply watch an interesting movie or play “Mafia” with like-minded people. And this, of course, is not a complete list of everything that is happening or planned at the youth platform. The open student space AuraAcademica, which, thanks to the initiative and efforts of the students themselves, started operating in the fourth dormitory of Uzhhorod National University, is not just a location for studying, working, or socializing – it is an environment that unites concerned, active, and initiative students of the university.

It all began when three students from the Faculty of Foreign Philology at UzhNU, Myroslava Popovych, Iryna Mykulin, and Yaryna Kushynets, together with Iryna Andriusiak, an associate professor of the Department of English Philology, generated the idea and began working on it. Soon, not only students but also representatives of government and business joined the initiative. UzhNU provided the space for the center and renovated it.

Business representatives gladly joined the youth initiative. For example, Andriy Piven, the CEO of the “Nobilex” factory, noted that until recently, he didn’t even know the term “coworking,” but thanks to the initiative of the young people from the student space AuraAcademica at UzhNU, particularly Iryna Mykulin, they became involved in its creation.

“For the older generation, I’ll explain: it literally translates as ‘working together.’ It’s a collective office, a place for implementing ideas. A modern library. By developing the social direction of the company ‘Nobilex,’ we are happy to contribute to such important areas as medicine, education, and ecology. Working with youth is also one of our priorities!” emphasized Andriy Piven.

At the official opening of the center, the businessman had the opportunity to personally communicate with the young people: “So much energy, creativity, ideas, and plans – they are truly the hope and future of Ukraine. They are different, better, open to change, free in their thoughts, ambitions, and spirit! I’m glad that we have conscious, active, and goal-oriented youth!”

Currently, the initiative, which started with a few like-minded individuals, has gathered many people around it. Participants of “AuraAcademica” not only study or work together, but also volunteer, communicate, and come up with new interesting ideas. The space is already infused with what was initially embedded in its very name – the free student spirit.
