An aluminum profile is designed in the structure, the so-called rack-transom, which is attached to wooden or steel profiles with the help of connectors. Thanks to this connection, a composite profile is created, from which the frame of the curtain wall is made. The post-transom profile is used to fasten and hold glazing or filling, to transfer wind loads and other forces acting on the structure. This profile plays a fundamental role in the drainage and ventilation of the structure. For this purpose, it was covered with EPDM shell seals. These seals have been varied in order to obtain a cascaded rack and transom drainage, which is essential to maintain tightness. Between the glazing elements there is a thermal insulator with very good parameters. Thanks to its components, the construction of the MB-SR50N A curtain wall meets high requirements in terms of thermal and sound insulation, as well as water and air tightness.
